IPAF Harness Awareness & Inspection Course
The IPAF Safety Harness use & Inspection Course delivers a minimum of 4 hours instruction and is designed to providing training to safely use harnesses and lanyards when using a range of MEWPS (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms). It also covers skills such as the selection and pre-inspection of the equipment.
Successful delegates will gain an understanding of the correct selection and pre-use inspection of safety harnesses and lanyards used for restraint on a MEWPs.
Course Content Includes:
- Legislation, Standards & CE Markings
- Risk Assessment Hierarchy of Fall Protection Measures
- Lanyard and Fittings Pre-Use Checks and Correct Usage (inc Practical)
- Usage and Anchor Points
- Harness Storage
- Maintenance Hazards and Precautions
Completion of the course:
Successful delegates will receive the IPAF Harness category on their ePal App and/or Certificate.
